-
The general programme suits the typology of the site. The Essoldo Cinema is an enclosed space appropriate for the marketplace & educational spaces. Whereas the Bridgewater Canal provides an open space appropriate for social interactions.
-
Taking advantage of the different heights in land at the site. It is good to integrate on a canal level, Essoldo level & Edge Lane level.
-
The different heights on the site makes the general arrangement of programme complex.
-
Engages users on Edge Lane height to see the now neglected parts of Stretford, which is the Canal height & the Essoldo Cinema height.
-
The organisation of the programmes to be more defined, to develop a more efficient programme so the users circulation is smooth.
-
A possibility to engage water, earth & sky.
-
Limited access point. The only way to access is from Essoldo Cinema & the entry to the canal which is on the opposite side of Edge Lane.

There is no access to theatre space.
-
The circulation for visitor starts after the Essoldo Cinema, so building won't be attracted by users.
-
The programme flow is more clear, seperating private & public spaces as well as the circulation between the staff and visitor.
-
The canal is opened up allowing users to interact with the canal.
-
The entrance for visitors is not celebrated so limits attractions.
-
To connect appropriate spaces between the staff and visitor
-
