The Essoldo Cinema site sits by the A46 road that bridges over the canal. This shows there are considerations to be made when designing on the site. Here my analysis shows how people enter through the first floor, where the the ground floor is infilled by soil.

The choice of materiality reflects on the surroundings of Stretford along with the exposed steel structure to add a contemporary attitude towards the building.

Conclusion
The big model scale measured the height of chosen ceiling to floor height. However, there is too much head room space, the building becomes inefficient as firstly, having high numbers of materials wasted on unused spaces and secondly, maintenance would be expensive..

Consider, reducing the height of the spaces, this as well ensures comfortability as well as sustainability in materiality.
